Peace & Balance is About Less, Not More

Gary A Delpine

We have found that when using our mindful approach, clients experience much less trauma and anxiety finding a more self-empowering resolution to what is troubling them.

Usually more quickly than with other therapies.

You may find yourself working a good 12-step program and maintaining your abstinence from alcohol and drugs. In dealing with your thoughts and feelings, you may often feel stuck. The same issues keep coming up within you over & over again. You may also be going through times of high anxiety anger or  stress.  A mindful approach in dealing with these issues is often very effective.

Rather than trying directly to remove the thoughts and feelings that are causing emotional unrest, we practice mindful acceptance of those thoughts and feelings. This is accomplished by calming ourselves through conscious breathing and not pushing against ourselves.  This coupled with a supportive counseling process allows us to reframe, transform, and bring a more lasting closure to what is troubling you.  This opens the door to enjoying more of what our wonderful sober destiny and purpose has in store for us.

GARY A. DELPINE, LCDC, AADC, CART

I have been working with the recovering community in the greater Houston area for over 35 years. I have counseled adults, young adults, and families–often with coexisting mood, anxiety & thought disorders. I have extensive experience working in private practice, inpatient, acute-care, and outpatient settings.

I am very pleased to say that for some years now, I have found that the simple consistent practice of mindful breathing meditation has been a game changer in the effectiveness and enhanced state of well-being in all aspects of my life.

It has allowed me to realize that if you don’t still surf......

You never did!
